PELVIC FLOOR PHYSIOTHERAPY

What is the Pelvic Floor? Pelvic floor is a group of muscles in the pelvic or groin region that support the urinary, and reproductive tracts along with bowel and bladder functions. If these structures do not work effectively, this is what we call pelvic floor dysfunction.

PELVIC PHYSIOTHERAPY IS BENEFICIAL TO THOSE WHO HAVE TIGHT OR WEAK PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLES AS A RESULT OF GIVING BIRTH, AGE AND OTHER HEALTH CONDITIONS.

Our pelvic physiotherapist will conduct a detailed internal and/or external examination to assess the nature and condition of the pelvic floor muscles.

The goal is to create a program to alleviate your symptoms and treat the
condition. This program includes patient education, relaxation strategies, manual therapy, electrical stimulation, stretching and strengthening of the gluteal muscles, core, low back and the pelvic floor structures.
